My Story: part 1 : So when I was 39 I decided that I wanted to learn how to make money online and did what anyone would do, I searched google and got the usual "Buy My Course" results. At that time I knew nothing about working online and making money. It sounds so easy when they are trying to sell you a course. My biggest issue with buying a course was that there are tons of ways to make money online and they all looked shiny at the time. Needless to say I ended up buying 3 courses on 3 different ways to make money. The first was a Print on Demand T shirt course. Not going to lie, I learned a lot with that course when it comes to using POD. I actually tried but didn't have success. With that course I learned a little about FB Ads and how to target potential customers. I also spent about $300 on ads and got NO sales! Maybe I did it wrong but I followed the course so needless to say, I decided to try something else. The next was a course on Amazon FBA and it had me out running around pricing everything I came across with my phone, looking for things I could make a profit on from my local stores. Again I can't say I didn't learn something. I did learn how to do it but the problem I ran into was with Amazon themselves. I was finding some really good stuff like kids Toys and Shoes that would have made me a killing. I would get a message saying I wasn't un gated for that product. Now I guess this is normal and as time goes by they will un gate you for different categories. This rule killed it for me! So again I moved on to something else. The next direction I went was Kindle Direct Publishing. I bought a course on this because this is true residual Income and you do the work once, and you get paid over and over again. Now I gotta say, This is a great way to make money, and even automate it so you don't even have to do the work! I think of this as something to do in my down time and I try to create a few books a year. I put them out there and make money all year long. I remember my first book was a cook book that was blank! I made it so they could record their families recipes all in one place and make it shareable to their family members. The funny part was I didn't even know how to put it together. So I hired someone to do it for me. Boom I had a winner! It didn't cost me a lot and saved me a headache. So now when I come up with an idea, I repeat the process...YOU CAN TOO!
